A. G. Adeeth Cariappa

Bio

I’m working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow - Environmental and Resource Economist in the Sustainable Agrifood Systems (SAS) Program of International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT). I am based at the CIMMYT office in ICRISAT Campus, Hyderabad, India.

Previously, I was working as a Young Professional in the Agriculture and Allied Sectors Vertical of the NITI Aayog, New Delhi, an apex public policy think tank of the Government of India and as a ‘Consultant - Dairy Market’ for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations under the project “Guidelines to increase the resilience of agricultural supply chains: Getting on the right track to stabilize production and markets”.

I received a Ph.D degree from the ICAR - National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal, HR, India. The title of my Ph.D. thesis was Impact evaluation of anionic mineral mixture supplementation on milk production and the milk fever: A randomized controlled trial. I received a B. Sc. (Agriculture) degree from University of Agricultural Sciences, Bengaluru, KA in 2012 and an M. Sc. (Agri) in Agricultural Economics from University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur, KA in 2016.

My research interests include impact evaluation, agricultural markets and its interlink, agricultural finance, livestock and dairy economics, carbon markets and agricultural policy evaluation.
